Symptom: No Movement

Your car will not move in either forward or reverse. Your engine seems to be working and when you step on the throttle or try to shift into gear your transmission does not respond.

Possible Cause:

Automatic: Check your transmission fluid level. An excessive transmssion leak or a detached cooling line can empty your transmssion of fluid. Without fluid, your transmission will not function.

If your fluid level is correct, you may have have internal damage or a problem with the shift linkage. Call our service manager (408) 629-4400 to get extra trouble shooting help.

Manual: As long as the clutch pedal does not have freeplay, you may just need a minor adjustment. On the other hand, your clutch may have been damaged and require replacement. Call our service manager (408) 629-4400 to get extra trouble shooting help.
